Home Depot Signs Deal for Braselton Warehouse

The Home Depot’s signature orange color will soon make its mark at a distribution center in Braselton, a company official confirmed Monday.

Atlanta-based The Home Depot has inked a lease for a warehouse at the Braselton Distribution Center on Ga. Hwy. 124, located across from the Havertys Eastern Distribution Center and Mayfield Dairy.

Don Harrison, public relations manager for the southern division for The Home Depot, confirmed that the world’s largest home improvement retailer will open a warehouse at the site. He declined to provide additional information about the deal.

And the company is already retrofitting the existing 546,000 square-foot facility for its Jackson County warehouse, according to Braselton planning director Kevin Keller.

The facility is the first of 12 proposed buildings at the Braselton Distribution Center, which is being developed by Solution Property Group. The 99-truck dock building that The Home Depot is leasing may be expanded to 960,000 square feet, according to Solution Property Group’s website.
The Braselton warehouse will mark the second Georgia distribution center deal signed by The Home Depot, according to CoStar Group, Inc. The home improvement company approved an agreement in March for a warehouse in Henry County.

The Home Depot has 1,940 stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico, according to the company’s website.
